This two-day event presents the complete cycle of Ludwig van Beethoven’s piano concertos, tracing his evolution from early lyricism to monumental scale. The Stewart Goodyear performs across both concerts, guided by conductor Mélisse Brunet.
Friday features Piano Concertos Nos. 2 and 4, while Saturday includes Nos. 1, 3, and 5, culminating in the “Emperor” Concerto. Presented by the Louisville Orchestra, the marathon highlights Beethoven’s expanding dialogue between piano and orchestra, offering a continuous journey of contrast, growth, and musical transformation.
