The Speed Art Museum comes alive After Hours with an eclectic mix of music, performances, a cash bar + food available at the cafe, Est. 1927 by Marigold, and of course art! Experience the Speed after hours as you’ve never experienced it before with something different each month exploring new themes and welcoming artists and entertainers of all kinds.

6 – 9 pm | Louisville Silent Disco
6 – 7 pm | Gallery Talk in Louisville’s Black Avant-Garde: G.C. Coxe and explore special collection materials from the University of Louisville’s Bridwell Art Library
7 pm | Tarot Card Tour in the galleries

During the early twentieth century, Paris was the destination of choice for talented and independent American women determined to move beyond the limitations that restricted them at home. Drawn by a strong desire for independence, they crossed the Atlantic to pursue personal and professional ambitions in a city viewed as the epicenter of modernity.
