We are sad to share that PNC Broadway sent out a press release Tuesday night stating:
“Please be advised that we were notified by officials at The Kentucky Center that WAITRESS, originally scheduled to play The Kentucky Center June 26-July 1, must be cancelled due to recent fire damage within the venue.  All tickets purchased electronically will be automatically refunded to your credit card within 2-3 weeks. If your credit card is invalid, you will be issued a check refund within 4-6 weeks. All tickets paid with cash or check will be issued a check refund within 4-6 weeks. There is no need for you to do anything with your tickets. Your refund will be automatic.”

Leslie Broecker, President of PNC Broadway in Louisville, stated: ‘It’s regrettable that the presentation of WAITRESS must be cancelled, but safety is a priority.’

She also said that they appreciate all of the hard work that the Kentucky Center staff and contractors have done thus far, but because the venue must have more time to ensure the safety of our patrons, the engagement must be cancelled and will unfortunately be unable to reschedule or relocate this production.

Audience502 was looking forward to seeing this show, but safety is everything, and we appreciate PNC Broadway looking out for the art patrons. We hope that Waitress will return to Louisville one day!
